What size should Etsy listing photos be?

Etsy recommends listing photos at least 2000 pixels wide and tall, and the first photo at least 635 pixels to avoid ranking lower in search.

Why won’t my photos upload to Etsy?

Etsy notes that images larger than 1 MB may not finish uploading, especially on slower connections. This page compresses each photo to under 1 MB.

Why does my transparent PNG look black on Etsy?

Etsy doesn’t support transparent PNGs; transparent areas show as black. This tool fills them with white (or a color you choose under “More options”).

Should Etsy photos be square?

Etsy suggests a landscape or square first photo, and advises leaving space around the product because thumbnails are cropped differently across the site.
