When PNG is the right choice
- Editing: PNG doesn’t lose quality each time you save, so it’s a safe working copy.
- Screenshots and text: sharp edges and lettering stay crisp.
- Design tools: some apps and print services prefer lossless files.
For sharing, emailing or uploading photos, JPG or WebP are usually better because the files are far smaller.
